Who is Give Something Back to Berlin?
GSBTB is an award-winning, non-profit organisation located in the heart of Berlin Neukölln. We connect migrants, refugees, and locals through accessible music, arts, language and food-related social activities. Our mission is to build an open and inclusive society in which everybody creates in co-spirit and solidarity – hence, all of our activities are free of charge!
What is Refugee Week?
Refugee Week is an annual celebration, informing the public about refugees and celebrating their contributions and will take place this year between 18th – 24th June. We now want to use this important week to celebrate our community members, who have refugee backgrounds as they are an integral part of our community, the backbone and the heart of our organisation.
How can you get involved?
We are asking you and your business to make an impact in our city through GSBTB’s Refugee Week 2023 awareness and fundraising campaign “Make worlds meet for a better city”!
Make a one-time donation and/or give 2.5-5% of your business profit during Refugee Week to directly support our projects for, with and by refugees and migrants. Donate easily and securely through our website: gsbtb.org/donate
To take part in our campaign with your business, you can choose also one or more of the below options;
- Showcase your solidarity by displaying our campaign and event poster in your store to honour refugees in our neighbourhood.
- Join our social media campaign “Make worlds meet for a better city” with our sharepic and the following hashtags: #MakeWorldsMeetForABetterCity #ImpactfulBusinesses #RefugeeWeek #GSBTB hashtags.
- Become a monthly donor with a fixed amount of your choice.
What are the benefits for your business?
- You will receive our specially designed campaign poster to showcase your support and solidarity for the refugee cause.
- Your business will be pinned on our Partnerships page (gsbtb.org/partners) and shared on GSBTB’s social media platforms before and during the campaign period.
- You will be invited to our Refugee Week Community Gathering on the 21st of June at Refugio Berlin. There will be music, food, and drinks with the opportunity of meeting lovely people from all around the world and seeing some of our work first-hand.
- GSBTB has a valid charity status and you will receive a donation receipt to facilitate the tax deduction. German law allows you to deduct up to 20% of your income in the form of donations.
